The Hogback Covered Bridge

"As we enjoy our heritage, we honor the memory of those agile minds who created it"

Hogback Covered Bridge

Hogback Covered Bridge gets its name from the surrounding terrain, a forested ridge, which, when viewed from the air, resembles a hog's back.

Built in 1884 by Benton Jones, it measures 97 feet, and is in its original location. It was renovated in 1992 at a cost of $118,810.

The Hogback bridge was entered into the National Register of Historic Places August 7, 1976
